Dulwich Picture Gallery // London

If you are after something to do in London this weekend, I recommend checking out the Dulwich Picture Gallery. I hadn't heard of it until recently when I stumbled across it looking for something to do that involved being inside. It houses one of the world's most important collections of European old master paintings of the 1600s and 1700s, so it is packed with amazing artists such as Rembrandt and Ruben. It is only a short train ride from Victoria, so if you are free, go check it out!

RIFLE PAPER CO // PAPER GOODS

I must admit, I have a bit of a weakness for Rifle Paper Co products - these gorgeous paper goods are all beautifully illustrated and designed by hand and then manufactured in Florida, USA by a small team in a boutique studio.

Back in 2009, Anna Bond - the creative director, illustrator and co-owner (along with her husband) -started the company with a vision to create playful, vintage-inspired products. Her hand-painted illustrations, strong attention to detail and whimsical approach has set the company apart from anything else in the business. There is something quite personal and sweet about their product range, which makes them the perfect gift for someone that is special to you. Plus, aren't there illustrations adorable - who wouldn't like these as a gift?

Blunderbuss // Auckland

I can't get over how delicious the pizza's are at Blunderbuss in Takapuna. After much debate, we stopped in yesterday for a bite to eat and was pleasantly surprised. Blunderbuss offers both tapas & gourmet pizzas intended for sharing, which is great if you're wanting to catch up with a bunch of friends. In saying that, as someone who likes meals on the larger side (lol), i've never been one to feel full off just tapas dishes alone but you definitely get more than enough to fill you up.

It was nice to see a good variety of dishes on the menu, it makes the food choosing process more exciting when there are items that suit everyone's taste buds. We ended up ordering both the Polpetto (baby octopus, fresh chilli peppers, chirizo) & Anatra (duck leg, rosemary, fig, leek) pizzas, my goodness they are delicious. Their drinks menu is equally as extensive & offers up original sangria mixes that are a must try. A cool thing to note: all their sangria's come in a jar with a straw - not only do they look amazing they taste it too.

We've been told on Thursday night's is insanely busy but the vibe of this place is amazing (I guess bookings are a must) so if you want to find me Thursday night, you'll probably find me there. This is definitely going to be our spot this summer.

I feel Smug // Boutique

Since I discovered Smug about a month ago, I've been in religiously every weekend. If all my favourite things could be neatly packaged into one store, this would be it. This quirky concept boutique is hidden away in Camden Passage, so be sure not to miss it if you find yourself in Islington, London. Although it is small, it is packed with bits and bobs that you never thought you would need until you see it. I'm quite certain that between my flatmate and myself, we have managed to by out most of the store.

You can check out more of my photos if you click on the 'Read more' button below.

Wanderlust // Morocco

Why Morocco? There has always been something quite intriguing and fascinating about Morocco to me - the people, the music, the food, the landscapes, the sights, the sounds. I couldn't believe that such a vastly different country could be such a short flight from London - so at the end of 2013 I ventured there to see it for myself.

Life Through Photos // The New Year

Near the end of last year, I treated myself to an early christmas & bought a Canon 5D II. Naturally, as soon as I bought it, work took over my life and I never got time to use it. So for 2014 my resolution is to make sure I take at least one photo a day for memories sake and what better way to keep me motivated than to post a recap of what has happened during the week through photos.

DEAR RAE // INSPIRED BY LIFE OF PI

Aren't these rings designed by Dear Rae gorgeous? They are inspired by three animals from the book and film, Life of Pi. And to make things even better, you get an amazing illustration by Katrin Coetzer print when you purchase a silver or gold band. They are very limited, so you need to get in quick. But there is plenty of other cute jewellery on their online store if you miss out!

Happy New Year!

We may be a little late in wishing everyone a very HAPPY NEW YEAR, but I guess it is better late than ever.

We hope everyone has had a wonderful start to the new year - 2013 was certainly an interesting and exciting year for both of us. So many milestones were met and so many great experiences were thrown our way. I found myself living on the other side of the world, with a new home, new job and new friends, so who knows what will happen this year. I guess I can only hope for a fraction of the same goodness for 2014, so here's to that!

We're Back

After a year hiatus, we're happy to say that we're back and ready to get straight back into it for the new year. For the both of us, 2014 marks a brand new year of new and exciting things both in life & for this blog.

We started Forever Roam back in 2009 as an online mood board between the both of us to share visual inspiration for our uni project. Since then, we've had a bunch of dedicated followers joining in with us along the way & we couldn't be more thankful.

So this year, here's to you: the reader, we'll be doing our best to keep you inspired & up to date with the haps in both Auckland and London. Just a side note: If you feel the need to go back and revisit the old times tumblr; don't worry, it's there, still alive and well.
